Can't help it. Daryl and Michonne Fan here. Favourite characters are something of a hot topic in my house as a whole, but it's pretty much agreed they're the top two, with Merle potentially as third. Couldn't break it to my folks that Dale died when they declared him one of their favourites after Daryl.
Daryl - You just can't help it. There's way more then looks to this smart man, who's got the Crossbow (Which hooked me from the get go. What can I say, I love a man with traditional weaponry!?), and throws dead squirrels at people. More importantly, his evolution from Season One to Three. I melted when he's looking for Sophia. Tell'em that they don't need luck or prayers cause they were going to find her alright. Broke my heart when they didn't.
Michonne... Oh my gosh Michonne. Traditional Weaponry. I am a sucker for traditional weaponry. From her instincts to the way she carries herself, and the gut reactions, to the gutting. What's not to like about a strong independent woman who loves crazy artwork like that cat? I was like. That is a nice cat. That is a nice cat. (*Insert Donkey impression here.*)
So, I was actually fairly new at TWD from about the time that I joined the Forum (Chasing the Lovely Amber's Fanfic Acquiescence is actually how I got here), so I had it handy and started watching it everyday from when I got home from work. Ended up getting my entire household addicted, even my gore-hating mother joined in (and ended up finishing the third season before AND without me!). I'm pretty sure there's going to be a party when we're able to watch the Fourth Season. In an entirely different story got crossbows banned in my house. I swear I didn't do anything wrong.
I sure as hell didn't cry when Lori died. The only thing that got me was that Carl had to do it. But it garnered some more respect for me. Ain't nobody throwing rocks at you here, Amber lovely, about Carol. I was happy when I thought she bit the dirt the first time. I just couldn't like her.
As for Glenn. Honestly, he used to be one of my Favs, I even have this tiny vinyl figure next to me on this desksurrounded by Daryl.. Then he changed. The change at first in Season 2 made sense to me, then things started to change way too drastically (for me at least). I mean this was the guy who thought ahead to planning two different escape routes to grab a bag in the streets of Atlanta to saying, "You and me Michonne. Let's go do in the Governor. Tonight." As it were. It just didn't sit right with me. He got dumber and more in love as the Season went on in my mind. Not that I don't love him and Maggie, and honestly, if I could get eaten everyday I would totally want to marry someone I love. It's just like they're making poor life choices. (How many times would you risk your life for a condom? They have it sounding like they're going at it like rabbits)
